Kerala Spice Plantation Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cochin
Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport where our representative will meet and greet you to escort the pre-booked hotel. Check-in and relax sometime at the hotel.In the evening, enjoy a half-day tour of Cochin visiting Jewish Synagogue, St. Thomas Church, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, and Bolghatty Palace, or visit spice Market (if time and energy permit). Stay overnight at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 2: Cochin Sightseeing
On the second day after breakfast, proceed to Indian Spices Board and Jew Town. The town has lost much of its earlier glory, although it has retained its status as an important centre of spice trade. The soothing smell of the finest ginger, cloves, cardamom, turmeric, pepper, emanate from the spice warehouses lining the street and fills it.The bustling trade of spice is evidence in the trucks going to and away from warehouses, loads being taken in and out using pushcarts, workers, drying, sorting, and packing spices. By the evening, get transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 3: Thekkady Transfer
On the 3rd day after breakfast, take a drive to Thekkady – home to the country’s largest Tiger Reserve Periyar National Park. There are many resorts near the national park and an early boat safari within the sanctuary is a must to be spot wild elephants, bison, wild boars, various bird species, etc. Arrive and check in to the hotel room to freshen up and relax.Thekkady is a home of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary that has a lot to offer in terms of natural beauty and wildlife. Day 4: Thekkady Sightseeing
On the early morning cruise through the Periyar National Park, you can spot the elephants in dense green forests of Thekkady. Post breakfast, have a massage, or stroll around the village. In the mid-afternoon, enjoy a trip that takes you to a working spice farm where you can see nutmeg, peppers, cloves, cardamom, vanilla, and all spices growing around. Take an overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
Day 5: Cochin Transfer
The morning and day is free for you to explore the surroundings. In the evening, take a drive toward Cochin for 156 kms that takes nearly 4 hrs to reach. Arrive and check in to the hotel for freshening up. The remaining day is free for you. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Departure from Cochin
