Day 1: Arrive at Cochin
Begin South India Culinary Tour by arriving at Cochin, where you will meet the tour representative of Trip Plan India. He will then assist you to the resort or hotel in Cochin. After relaxing some time, you will be proceeding to a sunset cruise on the Rice Boat for an amazing sunset experience. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2: In Cochin
The next day morning, wake up in the refreshing vibes of Cochin and then leave for a short cruise tour to Philip Kutty’s Farm for breakfast. The place is a small homestead set on an island famous for the cultivation of various tropical fruits and vegetables. There would be a small demo of simple home cooking so you can learn how to cook South Indian food. The remaining day will be at your disposal. Stay overnight for dinner and a good night sleep.

Day 3: Cochin
This is a special day to peep into and try the traditional food culture of the place. Once you are done with breakfast, attend the Vegetarian Wedding Feast “Sadhya” which you will be preparing for lunch of the day. The food will be served on banana leaves and can be relished by hands. Sadhya is the term coined for the feast that is a part of the 10th day of the annual harvest festival “Onam”, which is known as Onam Sadhya. The feast is well-known for its rich flavors and varieties of dishes. Afterward, the remaining day is leisure. Stay overnight in Cochin.

Day 4: Periyar transfer
On the fourth day morning, get ready to proceed to Periyar National Park – the village is famously known for its spice cultivation. The picturesque village is beautifully engulfed by small cottages amidst the spice gardens in the most beautiful places of Kerala. Check in to the hotel and have your lunch, post which you would be taken up for a boat safari in the Periyar Lake. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: In Periyar
The next day morning is all set for a sightseeing tour of Periyar. Visit the Spice plantation and Tea Plantation location. Afterward, come back and enjoy lunch followed by a restful day. The evening is scheduled for a cooking demonstration on “Cooking with Spices”. Dinner will be served in the resort followed by an overnight stay in Periyar.

Day 6: In Periyar
Wake up early and gear up for a morning walk around Spice Village which is the main attraction of Periyar. While on a walk around this tour, witness the variety of spices grown locally by the villagers. Meet the locals and know about their lifestyle and the spice plantation techniques they follow.This refreshing morning will be followed by a wholesome breakfast post a visit to Spice Village. There would be another cooking setup for the day followed by lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for a leisure stroll through Kumily which attracts tourists for its cool refreshing vibes and pleasant climate. Take a walk down the spice shops to buy freshly grown spices.Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Cochin Transfer
The seventh day will begin with a hearty breakfast after which you can spend some time performing your activities. Later, check out and proceed for a drive to Cochin. On the way take a halt at the plantation bungalow for typical home lunch. Resume the drive to Cochin. Have dinner and stay overnight at Cochin.

Day 8: In Cochin
Post morning breakfast, get ready to take a guided Cochin Sightseeing Tour that includes a visit to the ancient spice market at Mattan Cherry and Chinese Fishing Nets. The next head straight to Brunton Boatyard to enjoy a delightful lunch serving 32 cuisines of different communities in Cochin. After delicious lunch, come back and enjoy the day as per your interest. The evening is all set for cultural Kathakali Dance performance. The Indian classical dance form is associated with the storytelling form of this art. Performers are well-dressed with unique face masks and communicate to the audience through excellent footwork and impressive gestures of face and hands. After a well-spent evening, return to the hotel followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Departure
On the last day of this tour, you will depart back to your hometown. Get escorted to the airport or railway station to conclude the amazing 9 days Culinary tour of South India.
