Golden Triangle Tour With Diwali Festival Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi Arrival
Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed by our escorting tour manager who will assist you with a transfer to the hotel and check-in formalities. The remaining day is free to explore on your own. Stay overnight in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
The second day of this tour is fully-planned for sightseeing in India’s capital city of Delhi. Start by taking a rickshaw ride around Chandni Chowk Bazaar and then visit the famous Humayun’s Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage Site in India). Then you will explore the grand Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat, the site of Gandhi’s cremation.Afterward, proceed toward New Delhi where you can take a stroll down the ceremonial Rajpath and see the India Gate, which is a memorial site to Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War. Next, take a visit to Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, and Red Fort. After spending a great time return to the hotel for a night’s stay.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra Transfer
After breakfast, you will take a drive to Agra where you will arrive and check in the hotel first. Next, get ready to explore the famous historical sites of Agra, namely Agra Fort and Taj Mahal. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for a comfortable night’s stay.
Day 4: Agra to Jaipur Transfer via Fatehpur Sikri
Today in the morning, have breakfast and check out from the hotel. You will be driven to Jaipur with an en-route halt at Fatehpur Sikri. One can visit Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, and other famous edifices. Then you will depart for Jaipur for checking in at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing with Diwali Celebration
After breakfast, get ready early and start a sightseeing tour of Jaipur by visiting Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal. Later, take a detour to visit the local markets and sweet shops to get some authentic sweets for the Diwali festival.Since Diwali is the celebration of the victory of good over evil, Indians typically dress in their traditional attire. As a gesture of good, you can also shop for traditional dresses to dress well from the local bazaars. The evening will be spent well with a local family while celebrating Diwali in their traditional style. Enjoy watching firecrackers and have a delicious dinner with a local family. Day 6: Jaipur to Varanasi
The next day after a grand Diwali Celebration will start with breakfast, and afterward, you will get ready to board a flight to Varanasi. At Varanasi airport, you will meet the company’s representative who will escort you to the hotel. In the evening, witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti at Dashashwameth Ghat. It is a daily evening ceremony that has been practiced for thousands of years. See the river lighten up with colorful diyas from the ghat and feel the divine power in the vibes as you hear the spiritual chants. Stay overnight in Varanasi.
Day 7: In Varanasi
As the day starts in the early morning, take a boat ride on the Ganges river. You would watch the local rituals along the riverside and ghats during the boat ride. Next, enjoy breakfast and then get ready to explore Varanasi. Visit Manikarnika Ghat for Hindu cremation rituals, Sankat Mochan Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kalbhairav Temple, Birla Temple, and more.In the evening, take an excursion to Sarnath which is an important Buddhist Pilgrimage site. It is a place where Lord Budhha made his first sermon after getting enlightenment. Stay Overnight at the hotel in Varanasi.
Day 8: Varanasi to Delhi & Departure
After having breakfast, get a departure from the hotel to the airport in Varanasi to board a flight for Delhi Airport. From there, you will board an international flight for your home.
